Reaching biological information of the studied taxa became quite easy by introducing biodiversity information databases through Internet. TÜBİVES (Turkish Plants Data Service) is the first and the most efficient biodiversity database of the plants in Turkey.

The structural of TÜBİVES has been changed time to time according to the needs in new data types and improvement of the data management system. In this 2.0 Beta version, Turkish Nomenclatural Database (TURKNOM), chromosomal information, vernecular names of plants are included. Some of these new data types have been completed and put into service.
